"I spent 10 years inside the startup machine. Product marketing at WorkStep, Midaxo, Klover, and a handful of enterprises like Atlassian and Experian. I loved early-stage companies where I built GTM programs from nothing and watched them generate real revenue.
But I also watched the pattern that kills startups from the inside.
A founder raises a round, hires 28 people before they have product-market fit, burns through runway trying to brute-force growth, then lays off 20 of those employees 6 months later when the board asks why CAC is through the roof and pipeline is a ghost town.
The root cause was the same: the founder had no authority in their market. No one knew their name, so one trusted their perspective. Investors saw a product, not a leader, and customers saw just a another logo.
